Keywords
They are effects of
Ability: A creature or relic with an ability cannot attack. Instead, you can click the creature or relic to activate the ability’s text.
Afterlife: After a creature or relic is destroyed, it enters the void and activates any effects following the afterlife keyword. Cards that are obliterated do not activate Afterlife.
Armor: Reduces each instance of damage received by the armor value.
Backline: Cannot be targeted for attack as long as there are other valid creatures to attack (a creature with order or hidden would not be a valid target).
Blessed: After playing a creature with blessed, you can delve three Blessings, and choose one to initiate its effects.
Blitz: A creature or relic with blitz can attack or activate abilities on the same turn it is played.
Burn: A Creature with burn X is dealt X damage at the end of its controller's turn. Burn comes before Regen.
Confused: When attacking, a creature with confused has a 50% chance to not attack the intended target, and instead attack another random valid target.
Deadly: A creature or relic with deadly will destroy any creature with the first 1 damage it deals.
Delve: Choose 1 out of 3 options from a specific list of cards.
Dreadtouched: When you play this card, you may choose to also sacrifice a creature you control to the Dread. If you do, activate this card’s Dreadtouched text.
Echo: After you play a creature with echo, a 1 mana 1/1 copy of it is added to your hand.
Empower: This keyword gives you the option to play your card as it appears, or as a stronger ‘empowered’ version. Empowered cards require more mana to play, but can prove devastating for your opponent.
Face: Dealing damage to the opponent's god.
Flank: After another character attacks, a creature or relic with flank ignores frontline and backline rules until the end of the turn.
Foresee: Look at the top X cards in your deck, and select any of them to pull to the bottom of the deck.
Frenzied: If you have dealt damage to the opponent’s god this turn, your god becomes frenzied. When frenzied, effects that have a frenzied condition can be triggered.
Friendly: Friendly creatures are creatures you currently control (creatures you played or stole from the opponent).
Frontline: Must be targeted for attacks before characters without frontline (shielding non-frontline creatures from danger).
Godblitz: In addition to blitz, this also allows creatures and relics to attack the enemy God the turn it enters the battlefield.
Hidden: Creatures with hidden cannot be targeted by the opponent. If a hidden creature attacks, it loses hidden. (Importantly, hidden prevents the enemy from targeting the hidden creature with anything, including attacks).
Leech: All damage dealt by this creature or relic heals your god for the same amount.
Manasurge: Spend X mana on cards or god powers in a single turn while holding this card to give it a bonus effect when playing the card to the board.
Obliterate: Obliterating a card removes it from the game.
Order: A character with order can’t attack and isn’t a valid target for attacks. The order value indicates how many turns until order is removed.
Overkill: When dealing attack damage to an enemy creature any leftover damage is distributed randomly among all other enemy characters.
Protected: Nullifies the first instance of damage dealt to a protected character.
Refresh: Refresh X mana means you refill X amount of mana, up to the amount of unlocked mana you have.
Regen: A creature with regen X heals for X at the end of its controller's turn. Burn comes before Regen.
Roar: After a creature or relic is played, effects following the roar keyword are activated.
Sleep: A sleeping creature is unable to attack or use its ability. Creatures lose sleep at the end of their controller's turn.
Spell boost: Characters with spell boost increase the damage of spells cast by their controller by their spell boost value.
Soulless: A card with soulless is obliterated after it enters the void.
Tempt fate: This keyword is for the risk-takers out there, providing a comfortable buff, or a chance at more.
Twin strike: Can attack twice in one turn, but only one attack can target the enemy god.
Ward: Blocks one instance of destroy, transform, sleep or non-attack damage from any opponent source.
Void: A zone that holds destroyed creatures and relics, and spells after they have been cast. Various effects let you interact with the void.
