What is Flux?
Flux is an in-game resource earned by playing the new Ranked Constructed game mode, Gauntlet of the Gods. Flux is used to Fuse within the Forge to merge two identical cards into a new singular card of a higher Quality, simultaneously adding it to the Blockchain.
Can Flux be used as a real currency?
No. Flux is an in-game resource that is used to Fuse cards. Fusing cards increases the Quality, creating a purely aesthetic effect, as well as permanently adding it to the Blockchain.
What is the Forge?
The Forge is where you can Fuse cards. It has its own tab (located between the Workshop and Market tabs) within the Client.
What is Fuse or Fusing?
Fusing is the process of combining two existing identical cards into a singular higher Quality version of the original card. Currently, you’re only able to Fuse to Meteorite Quality. As Genesis cards are already of Meteorite Quality, they cannot be Fused any higher.
The new Meteorite Quality card created from Fusing permanently places it on the Blockchain, allowing it to be traded for ETH; real currency. As Genesis cards are already of Meteorite Quality, they can be sold right away without Fusing.
Fusing can be performed within the new Forge tab (located between the Market and Workshop tabs) in the Client.
What is Gauntlet of the Gods?
Gauntlet of the Gods is a new Ranked Constructed gamemode and currently the only way to earn Flux. When playing, you will be assigned a random God. Winning with that God unlocks two Gods adjacent to them, allowing you to earn more Flux. Flux is only allocated for the first three victories with that God. This allows for 18 Flux earning victories per day, by winning 3 times with each of the 6 gods. You will need to wait until the daily reset to earn more Flux after reaching 18 wins.
Can we destroy/melt cards for Flux?
No. Flux is only obtainable by winning Gauntlet of the Gods matches.
Can you buy or sell Flux?
No. Flux is only earned through playing Gauntlet of the Gods.
Does Flux count for my previous wins before this patch?
No. Everyone begins earning Flux when the patch is released. Wins prior to this do not grant Flux.
How much Flux can I earn in one day?
You can only receive Flux 3 wins a day with any one god. Winning 3 times with each of the 6 gods, you can only receive Flux 18 times daily. You will need to wait for the Daily Reset to earn more.
Do I need to win on all Gods to win Flux?
To receive the maximum amount of Flux per day, yes, but each win you accumulate Flux; you get Flux for each individual of the first 3 wins.
How much Flux do I get per win?
How much you earn is determined by your rank and how often you win. The more you win, the more Flux you get. Upon the Daily Reset, this value will revert to its base value.
How long does Fusing take?
We cannot guarantee a specific amount of time, but generally just a few minutes. This depends on how congested the Blockchain is.
Do I need a wallet in order to earn Flux?
Yes. You will be asked upon clicking the Forge tab. If you are not on the Blockchain, you will not be able to Fuse. Fusing places the cards permanently on the Blockchain, so you need to be on it in order to Fuse.
Can you Fuse multiple cards at once?
Can you earn Flux in any game mode?
You can only earn Flux through the new game mode, Gauntlet of the Gods.
How many times can I Fuse a card?
Currently, you can only Fuse cards to Meteorite Quality. Once Meteorite Quality, that new card cannot be Fused again into the next Quality tier.
Is Fusing an off-chain action?
No. Once Fusing has taken place, the item is permanently on the Blockchain.
Please see our metamask guide here if you’re unsure how to link a wallet and be on the Blockchain.
Do you need Flux to Fuse?
Yes. The amount of Flux required differs depending on Rarity of the card:
Common: 20 Flux
Rare: 40 Flux
Epic: 120 Flux
Legendary: 200 Flux
How do I earn Flux?
By winning matches in the Gauntlet of the Gods game mode. Flux will be allocated for the first 3 wins for each character per day, making for a possible 18 times to receive Flux per day.
Is the amount of Flux you receive determined by MMR?
No, Flux is determined by Rank and increases with each win. The higher your rank, the higher your Flux.
What is the difference between Quality and Rarity?
Quality is an aesthetic state, able to be improved by Fusing two identical cards within the Forge tab (located between the Market and Workshop tabs) in the Client. Once Fused (and thus reached Meteorite Quality), it is simultaneously added to the Blockchain.
Rarity is unique to the card, and is an indicator of how likely it is to appear in Card Packs. For example, the card Tough Townsfolk has a Rarity of Common; it has a much higher chance of appearing in Card Packs than a card of a higher Rarity.
Am I able to reverse Fusing?
No. Once two cards have been Fused, it cannot be reverted. This also means it can never be removed from the Blockchain.
Common Issues and Trouble Shooting
I want to Fuse, but my cards aren’t appearing. What should I do?
If your cards are missing from the Forge, check the following:
Do you have two identical cards of Normal Quality? This is needed in order to Fuse. Cards of Meteorite Quality are unable to be Fused again. This means, at this stage, only Core cards can be Fused, not Genesis.
Have you checked all wallets linked to your account? You might have allocated your cards to a different wallet.
Has your account been flagged as a Bot? This will prevent you from being able to Fuse. If this is the case, you can submit an appeal here.
My Fusing process has been going for quite some time. Is this normal?
Verifying transactions on the Blockchain can take some time. While we can’t guarantee a specific time frame, this normally only takes a few minutes to take place. Quitting or refreshing the client will not affect the progress of the upload!
If after a significant amount of time your cards still haven’t changed, try the following:
Clear Cache found under Settings within the Client.
Change from the Forge to a different tab (Market, Trader, etc) and then switch back.
If you’re still experiencing issues, submit a support ticket here so we can investigate further.
I’ve received the following error message while Fusing and can't use my cards.
"The cards you are trying to Fuse are already a part of a previous Fusing operation."
This is an issue that affected cards until the 27th of February. Luckily, it’s an easy fix, all you need to do is submit a support ticket with your in-game name so we can solve it. Once the fix is applied, you shouldn't experience this problem while Fusing again.
